Purpose of the workshop
Workplace wellbeing is shaped less by individuals understandings and wellbeing related actions.
The Staff Workplace Wellbeing Elevator has been developed as a practical, research-informed workshop that supports staff to understand exactly what wellbeing is, how you can influence and improve it and how you can sustain positive wellbeing in real workplaces. The approach shared will strengthened without adding pressure, workload, or complexity.
This workshop provides a clear, shared foundation for wellbeing that can be applied immediately by individuals, and across teams and organisations.
It is not a motivational session.
It is a practical professional learning day focused on everyday application.
What does this workshop do differently?
Rather than introducing new initiatives or programmes, the workshop focuses on:
What exactly wellbeing is?
How everyday work practices influence wellbeing?
Where unnecessary friction and pressure accumulate?
Small, meaningful adjustments that reduce strain and improve wellbeing
Shared approaches staff teams can use
Practical wellbeing thinking that fits within existing roles
The emphasis is on usefulness, clarity, and application, not theory alone.
Professional and sector relevance
The Staff Workplace Wellbeing Elevator has been designed for staff from diverse organisations and sectors:
Community and social services
Corporate and organisational environments
Health and wellbeing services
Education
Because the content is not role-specific, organisations often send mixed teams to support shared understanding and consistent practice across different functions.
What participants gain?
Participants leave with:
A shared understanding of workplace wellbeing.
Deep understanding of their own wellbeing profile.
Practical approaches that can be applied immediately.
Greater confidence in navigating everyday pressures.
Reduced reliance on informal or ad-hoc responses.
A clearer understanding of how wellbeing operates within work environments
This supports more consistent, sustainable wellbeing practice across teams.
Research and framework foundation
The workshop is informed by a 16 years of Universal Wellbeing research programme, including analysis of how wellbeing is influenced, and sometimes undermined within organisational systems.
The workshop will support staff to understand how environments, expectations, and routines shape wellbeing outcomes. This will allow organisations to strengthen wellbeing without increasing workload or complexity.
