Conference Speakers

The Prevention Imperative: NZ Universal Wellbeing Conference 2025

🗓️ 11–12 September | 📍 Ellerslie Event Centre, Auckland

This year’s speaker lineup brings together changemakers, researchers, and leaders working to shift wellbeing systems from reactive to proactive. More keynote announcements are on the way — stay tuned.

Meet the Thought Leaders Driving System-Level Wellbeing Change

Professor Grant Schofield

Professor of Public Health, Auckland University of Technology
Chief Science Officer, PREKURE | Director, Centre for Human Potential

Professor Grant Schofield is one of New Zealand’s most influential voices in public health and prevention science. His career spans physiology, psychology, nutrition, and behavioural change — with a consistent focus on redesigning systems to better support long-term human potential.

A former Chief Scientific Adviser to the Ministry of Education, Grant now leads research and innovation at AUT and PREKURE. He’s a driving force in shifting public discourse from illness treatment to wellbeing enablement — with the data to back it.

In his keynote, Professor Schofield explores how evidence-based frameworks can move health, education, and workplace systems from reactive to proactive — sparking measurable change across sectors.
