FREEDOM Business School

The Freedom Business School promotes positive business through a range of advanced programmes underpinned by understandings of economics, culture, community and the environment. The programmes create transformative professional business advisors, managers and leaders for the profit and not for profit sectors.

Business School programmes are underpinned by extensive national and international philosophical, theoretical, evidential and practical research. Freedom Institute of Higher Education has elected to focus on Business programmes that address the key challenges faced nationally and globally by business advisors, managers and leaders today: productivity, sustainability, value added product and service provision, governance/director education, communication, transformation, change and positive management and leadership.
Business School graduates develop the knowledge, skills, interpersonal and professional capabilities to respond to real world and complex challenges in innovative, creative and effective ways. All Business programmes investigate and experience real world business challenges from national and international businesses and link learners to the business community and employment or start-up opportunities. Graduates also develop their confidence, higher, associative and critical evaluation thinking and action skills through practice-based, work integrated or work-based learning approaches. 

The Freedom Business School promotes positive business education and supports the creation of business advisors, managers and leaders who are socially responsible, ethical, professional and both evidence and practically informed.

FREEDOM Higher Education School

The Freedom Higher Education School promotes international level excellence and in-depth and advanced programmes underpinned by the best of global indigenous, western and eastern educational knowledge and practices.

The School programmes create transformative professional higher education facilitators, advisors, curriculum designers and academic managers and academic leaders for diverse adult, tertiary and higher education or learning and capacity building roles. Higher Education School programmes are underpinned by extensive national and international philosophical, theoretical, evidential and practice-based research. Freedom Higher Education programmes address the key challenges faced nationally and globally by adult, tertiary and higher education managers and leaders today: optimising and accelerating learning, creating practicereadiness and research capable graduates, effective academic advising, management and leadership that supports community, national, and international freedom and academic aspirations for all.
Higher Education School graduates develop the knowledge, skills, interpersonal and professional capabilities to respond in innovative, creative and effective ways to real world, complex, learning, education, academic and research challenges. Graduates also develop their higher, associative transformational, critical evaluation thinking and action taking skills.  The Higher Education School supports excellence in Adult, Advanced Teaching, Tertiary and Higher Education through a comprehensive professional education pathway in educational facilitation, curriculum designer, and academic advisor, manager and leadership roles. All Higher Educational programmes support the creation of inclusive, ethical and both evidence and practically informed graduates. All Diploma and above programmes of the Higher Education School will be eligible upon graduation to register as associate members with the International Professional Higher Education Registration Board.

The double kakano koru is an indigenoussymbol showing the facilitator and programme surrounding and supporting the learner to go out into the world, it is used to designate education programmes at the Institute.

FREEDOM Health School

The Freedom Health School promotes positive and holistic health and well-being for all through a range of introductory and advanced programmes underpinned by the best of holistic indigenous, western and eastern health knowledge and practices. Our Health programmes also promote awareness of economic, cultural, community and environment influences. The School programmes support professional athletes, coaches, officials, managers and leaders as well as transformative professional health facilitators, educators, managers and leaders for a diverse range of sector roles nationally and internationally. Health School programmes are underpinned by extensive philosophical, theoretical, evidential and practical research. Programmes address the current challenges faced nationally and globally by athletes, officials, coaches, managers and leaders and health facilitators, managers and leaders today.

Health School graduates develop the knowledge, skills, interpersonal and professional capabilities to advocate and respond in innovative, creative and effective ways to real world and complex sport and health challenges. All programmes investigate and experience real world sport and health challenges from national and international perspectives and learners will practice responding effectively to such challenges. Graduates also develop their higher, associative and critical evaluation thinking and action taking capabilities.  The Health School develops professional level health education that creates athletes, administrators, coaches’ facilitators, advisors, managers and leaders who are socially responsible, ethical, and both evidence and practically informed.

FREEDOM Foundation School


The Freedom Foundation School promotes understandings of New Zealand (Aotearoa) through a range of sociology-psychology based programmes which holistically support deep and progressive understandings of language, history, culture, life, work, business, recreation, sports and the arts.  The School programmes support understandings of society and relationships supporting social inclusion and success. The New Zealand Studies programmes are underpinned by extensive philosophical, theoretical, and practical research and designed to be enjoyable and experience orientated. Freedom Foundation programmes address the key challenges of social interaction understandings and relationships that support transformation and effective study and career success.
Foundation School graduates develop the knowledge, skills, interpersonal and professional skills to achieve their work or further study aspirations in innovative, creative and effective ways. All programmes include real world experiences and enjoyable and interactive learning experiences. Graduates also develop their confidence, self-motivation, communication and personal capacity to develop new life opportunities for themselves.

The unbroken and twice twisted indigenous symbol above shows the connectivity of people from micro to macro levels and designate foundation programmes at the Institute.
